I didn’t just wake up one day and decide to be a chef…
This journey came from experience, struggle, and purpose.

I started out as a restaurant manager —
long hours, running someone else’s vision, making sure everything was perfect…
but deep down, I knew I was building something that wasn’t mine.

And that feeling?
It stayed with me.

So I took a leap.

I went from managing restaurants…
to becoming a street vendor.

No big kitchen.
No fancy setup.
Just me, my passion, and my food.

And I’m not gonna lie — it wasn’t easy.
There were days I questioned everything.
Days I didn’t know if it would work.
Days I had to push through with nothing but faith and consistency.

But one thing never changed…
the love people had for my food.

That’s what kept me going.

That’s what made me believe this was bigger than just cooking.

So I kept leveling up.

I became a licensed chef…
and turned my hustle into Carlissa’s Catering Kitchen —
creating not just meals, but elevated experiences.

Because for me, it’s never just been about food.
It’s about how it makes people feel.
It’s about bringing people together.
It’s about turning moments into memories.

And now… I’m ready for the next level.

Opening my own restaurant and food truck
isn’t just a dream —
it’s everything I’ve worked for.
